Slow Food Masterclass

Our next Slow Food Masterclass will be held on

Saturday 5th May at 11am.

Larder Lessons – learn how to cure, pickle and preserve
For our next Slow Food Edinburgh masterclass, Neil will demonstrate traditional methods of curing, pickling and preserving. Using the very best local and seasonal meat, fish and veg, he will share new ways to make the most of the fabulous ingredients available in Scotland ensuring you have a well-stocked larder. Learn how to cure pork and beef to make delicious bacon, bresaola and salt beef. See how to smoke fish and make a ceviche. Neil will also share his top tips on pickling vegetables and show you how to make perfect chutneys and jams. There will also be lots of opportunities to ask questions and things to taste during the demo.
Cafe St Honoré works closely with Slow Food Edinburgh to help promote ‘a better way to eat’ - food that is good, clean and fair. The suppers and masterclasses are both organised in partnership with Slow Food Edinburgh.
